RE: Help programming DSC module with Esys
This is a very big question dude , walk you through the procedure is 1 month task smile, if you are here for only this work then find someone who can do it remotely and call it a day, but you are here to learn then simply google " flashing with esys" and you get tons of useful information. I'm not sure if on this forum you can find more information but it worth trying.

for this project , the more important question before Esys procedure , Do you have a good charger or power supply ?

if you need help remotely , I can help you .

Lets try.....
This is from memory so if you get any errors we correct as we go

Comfort Mode - Tal calculating
1. Read Vehicle Order and activate it
2. Read SVT, save as SVT_ist
3. Click single flash
4. Calculate SVT Target, save as SVT_soll
5. Calculate TAL, save as SVT_TAL

Go to Expert mode - TAL processing
TAL - Load the SVT_Tal
SVT - Load SVT_soll
Click Read VIN then read FA
Check software availability
Remove all ECUs but leave DSC
Mark blFlash, swDeploy, cdDeply

Start.

After this vo code it then detect caf for swe. Good luck!

RE: Help programming DSC module with Esys
Thank you very much. I have to upgrade because the module I used was last programmed 6/2014 and my car is 4/2017. Will your procedure do all that or there are extra steps required ?

It will flash it to current software level as long as you have 2017 or later psdzdata.

RE: Help programming DSC module with Esys
The steps above are OK, but keep in mind that the donor DSC unit may or may not match your car's shipment i-step. Never flash if in the SVT comparison any of the HWAP/HWEL elements before/after do not match (red - different IDs). You may need to play a bit with the shipment i-step when flashing this particular ECU until you get a HWAP/HWEL match.

If that happens then I'll definitely need some help. Let me know if any of you guys are available for chat/teamviewer or phone any day next week after 5 pm central. Maybe even tomorrow. I don't expect free help, I will compensate smile
I don't have a battery maintainer/charger, will it be ok ? Battery is new and it charges fully.
Thank you

RE: Help programming DSC module with Esys
A fully charged battery is usually sufficient for most individual flash jobs. A charger is necessary for full flashes and specific cases like CIC/NBT, CAS, etc. which take a while. DSC will take 1-2 minutes I wager. I can't help with remote help, but there are folk here who I'm sure would. Also, e-Sys flashing is not rocket science, but can be intimidating for the inexperienced.

Cant the poster select same I-step as the car or later? Or is I-step determined by the version of Psdzdata being used I guess so one cant select! I have flashed a unit before but never bothered to check I step. I just let Esys pick the I-step. Maybe I was just lucky! But I did so because I used the latest data at that time so assumed higher I-step can never be bad.
