I would like to ask for help and clarification.

I have interface HEX V2 CHINA CLONE (HW 46 and FW was 1.96)

But VCDS 18.2.0 stopped to see interface. So I decided to flash it by USB cable. And it was successful.
But now it is FW 1.95 and VCDS does not want to update it to FW 1.96.

Can I somehow input file Flash1.96_HW_0x46.bin by VCDS USB by software VAGCOM_EEWrite.exe to get FW 1.96 instead 1.95 ?

Or should I program it by USBASP by flash 1.96 ? Please advise where I should connect pins ?

Start with looking at atmega and follow the pins you need for usbasp programming... mosi, miso, reset, etc. Check info.pdf from loader.

Could you post pcb picture of your câble ?
I think your hex-v2 is fake V2 based on NEC chip, so you can’t upgrade it...

Could you please look into VCDS.zip file in post 291 ? I have placed there pictutres of PCB.

I don’t know this pcb model. I think it’s not compatible with old car who use dual K-Line protocol (no 16v8 on PCB) but it is not the question !
you can upgrade it, but not sure without usbasp programmer...

I flashed my VCDS 0x46 with latest dump and then use VCDSLoader v6.3 but i test it in my friend VW Passat 2009 and long codding not working. Example i unchecked in Parkhilfe optical illustration then codding. I get info Codding succes and then go and still optical illustration is checked. Also test on other modules and the same problem. I use it with Polish VCDS 18.2.1
Is anybody who can also test it ?

"Logic area" aka "GAL" is present.
Is a good clone (is NOT real HexV2, is ordinary Hex-Can, but a good clone).

hi frend today i updated two vcds cable vcds11.11 and vcds 12.12 to vcds 17.8.0 with usbprog bt guide fantomel and i wtire atmega 162 without problem ,no when i put on the car says status "do not plug on the car" who help me please i trayed with read hdvi nothing not respons
