Instructions : How to compare CAFD's files without special tool or software
I made a little HOW TO guide to compare 2 CAFD files and generate a result HTML file , since NCDtools by Token master is outdated and many files are not supported .
Comparing to NCDtools software which was created by a great man specifically for this purpose , I am glad to offer you all a solution of the shelf using few steps and a 100% free and safe third party software, to achieve a similar results but the only different is that this solution applies on any NCD/CAFD file which can be read by Esys Launcher or EsysX . You are the best - thanks very much I test it right now Works fine - it doesn't give as result the list of differences (like for TM tool), but it's not bad at all to compare all CAFD files. I personally change the CAFD name, then it's accepted by NcdCafdTool in 90% of times |

Yes you are right , when you run compare there is a pop up window shows all the difference in NCDtool ..
I personally still use NCDtool most of the time but it piss's me off most of the time it doesn't recognize the CAFD files and I doubt that there is any chance of getting a new version of NCDtools , so at least now we have a good alternative option . have a good day and thanks for your feedback , I will improve the guide after finding a trick where we can only get the different variables . or if I had time on weekend , I might write a small Java tool to auto generate 1 output file with only the different variables . thanks for your feedback |
