F13 TV Retrofit (EVO)
Hi
In my F13 2013 with evo retrofit, I installed a TV modul, but the reception of the signal is very bad, only 5 channels. (France) -TV modul #6836347 -Diversity #9346795 -Trunk antenna #6943023 All is connected like oem. Some people have the same problem? Aftermarket antenna are better ? Ampire, Kufatec,... |

i don t think you will get more than that for the simple reason that it s not something else in the air in your area.
can you post a picture with the label of your tv module? |

the module is the good one, but unfortunately i don t think there are other TV stations in the air in your area, if they were you would get them.
in the new DVBT2 era the TV stations are not as many as they used to be with the old Analog. each country has 1-2 MUXes with less than 10 TV stations each i have the same TV module and test it all around eastern and central Europe. I also traveled to France but i don t remember how many TV stations i've got. i do know that in Italy they have quite a few compared to Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia or Albania. i sent one like this to a person in Cyprus and he can get only few stations because those are the only one in the air now. my advice is not to worry, you have everything right, it s just nothing else broadcasting.... PS: did you installed all 3 antennas, or only the two one (green and brown) ? |

yes it is! if you don t install it, then your TV won t be able to automatically search (in the background) for the new TV stations when you move from an area to another... you will have to manually search each time you are in a new area (covered by another MUX)

There are 2 variants of TV module (more maybe) There are modules with 2 FAKRA connections for cars without RSE and 3 connections for cars with RSE. The third aerial is designed to constantly scan whilst the car is moving to allow the TV to maintain signal. If you are going to use the TV with VIM it is recommended to use an RSE TV module. On my F10
There are 3 aerial positions. The diversity antenna, and both of the wave traps (c pillar for heated rear screen). My signal is perfect whilst stationary and 70-80% whilst moving. I’m not sure if the F13 has provision for the wave traps like the F10, but I’m sure you can replace them, it’s a simple swap and you can plug an aerial either side of rear screen and one in the diversity antenna. Rear seat (screen?) entertainment. TV monitors in the rear for passengers.
