ISTA 4.35.20 connection error
Today I had a 2014 F33 425i in my garage. Plan was to read fault code and reset oil service but when was trying to connet to the car ISTA came up whit some errors.
Im using ICOM and when I connecting to my own E90 from 2011 and my E46M3 from 2003 ISTA is working fine but not on this F33. Here is error message. I trye doing evereryting ISTA told me to do but notting work. All moduls are red. Car is working just fine. Anyone have som ide what can be wrong or how to solve my problem? Thanks. |

RE: ISTA 4.35.20 connection error
You must be blind. You have a critical setting different - ehternet as preferred channel when ICOM. Fix it and it will start to work.

E series are too old to have ethernet. It was introduced with F series. So that setting does not matter on your old cars which "work fine". It also does not matter with ENET as even it's name says "when using ICOM". And it really breaks things on ICOM (not not all cars though, sometimes it works). Learned that the HARD WAY myself. There is a REASON it's disabled by default. |

Learning someting every day about this software. Thanks for the understanding answer. |
