How to get HWEL from VIN - for EntryNav2 Units

XZBMW  How to get HWEL from VIN - for EntryNav2 Units
Hi Everyone!

This is the procedure to get HWEL from VIN:

If you have the car then you can check if the unit has WLAN Plug using my ToolKit v3. Link in signature.

If you don't have the car but got the VIN:

Let's say you have the VIN  WMWYY91040XXXXXXX that has EntryNav2 unit.
And it's a MINI Car with E-Sys target selector F56


1. Grab FA from the car or from VIN using HuEngTools 
2. Connect to E-SYS using Connection gateway
3. Connection gateway URL : tcp://127.0.0.1:7070
[picture attached]

You will see an error. It's normal!
Click OK
[picture attached]

4. Go to Confort Mode - Tal Calculating
5. Read FA from the car / Load FA or from HuEngTools 
6. Activate FA
7. On the right , on KIS/SVT Target section, check Complete Flash and Select I-Step (shipment)

How to select I-Step (shipment):


Go where you load the FA and check the Zeitkriterium or Year of Car : If it say 0718 the you select the F56-18-07-500
[picture attached]

8. Now Click on Calculate and wait.
[picture attached]

9. Scroll down to EntryNav2 and here you can see HWEL
[picture attached]


10. Check HWEL Table attached to see if the unit has WLAN plug!

Enjoy!

If you don't have AIR then you need access to a car. All those methods using FA are not always correct. They only tell you which unit should NORMALLY be in a car. But it happens there is actually a different one.
