No, there isn't a online VIN search. You need to create your own VIN file with the VIN creator in PETKA. Afterwards you can directly search for it

Of course I decoded the VIN first

So just installed the app on a clean Windows 11 laptop. Install went fine, but got the Hardlock error when first started directly after the install:

   

I then tried starting it again from the desktop icon and got the following two error messages in succession:

   
   

There are responses to these in previous posts about installing MS VCredist, but the laptop already has both the x86 and x64 versions installed:

   

I even tried do a repair on both of these installs from the Apps section, to no avail.

There is also a post back on page 7 of the antivirus deleting a DLL file, but I checked and it is still there. I also checked and my antivirus is set to exclude the PETKA installation folder.

First time I've ever had an issue with installing any version of ETKA, but then this is the first install on a Windows 11 laptop. Any further suggestions on what I can try?

BTW Forgot to mention that I don't get prompted for a HWID, although that might come at a later stage.

mfc100.dll and msvcr100.dll are parts of the Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable, installing either the 32bit or 64bit version of that resolve this error.

Worked a treat. Oddly though, I installed the 64-bit version first and it still threw up both messages. Installed the 32-bit version, now no errors and I get the 'serial number' prompt. Thanks.

Then you have done something wrong. And not entered the data correctly. You also need all the data to do it correctly. Otherwise you will only see half of it.

Be aware that the first time you want to use the VIN you have to type in the complete VIN-number in the FI search box (or rather, the vehicle’s name you chose when composing the VIN file) and press enter. Then PETKA will find the file. From then on, the VIN (or the name, if applicable) will appear automatically in the FI search box when prompted.

i also have vin problem , created the vin file , verified in the program data folder and it does exist ...but when i insert vin or file name in the fi box it gives me an error :
