Hello . Has anyone done a Paddle Shift Retrofit on a BMW E92 / E90 on which the ZF 6hp19z automatic transmission is installed. The petals themselves are restyled (LCI) with resistors inside on the board. The question is the following. How to make them work ? And so that when you press the Paddle Shift, the automatic transmission from D(Drive) mode itself switches to manual switching mode(DS/M)? So that you don't have to manually switch the automatic transmission selector first, and only then switch the Paddle Shift. Thanks

I make this retrofit years ago on my BMW.
You need to make some modification on paddleshifters like in this pdf.
After that you  must get 2 aditional wires from steering column to gearshifter.

On the ZF 6hp19z automatic transmission, if you press the + or - Paddle in Drive mode (D), the automatic transmission will automatically switch to manual switching mode (DS/M) or first you need to switch the automatic transmission to DS mode yourself and only then use the Paddle

Just my friend connected the petals rest (with resistors), he also Remove both
Middle and U pper resistors. And connected it directly to the wires of the automatic transmission selector. And they work only in DS mode for him.

After you have done and prepared the paddle shift. You need to drag 2 wires 2 and 4 pins in the SZL connector to the selector (yellow-blue and gray-blue) and connect them. Is Everything Right?

Did you have a GM automatic transmission? Paddle Shift also works on it in D mode, they immediately switch it to manual mode. But the ZF6hp19z does not switch to manual mode when pressing the Paddle Shift in D mode. But how do they make it work on ZF as well
