Hello all, need some help with this install. I have downloaded the files and extracted them using 7zip.
I had 37 zipped files and when clicked on file 1 it combined and now have a folder containing a single file ISTA-D_2.36_ISTA-P_2.50.2 7Z (38,624,876 in size). When i try to mount this using WinMount its not letting in the free version. Do i have to purchase the full version of WinMount? or am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Try using 7zip to extract the single file you have.

Thanks for your reply, I have tried that but it comes up with an error..Can not open 'd:\....' as archive.

The following works on my machine using VMware workstation 10. Can't say if it works in earlier versions.

Open VM workstation.
Click file -> open and point at the .VMDK file. Do not power it on.

Click file -> map network drives then click browse and again select the vmdk file.

Select the big partition (should be number 3). Deselect the "open in read only mode" and then choose a letter for the drive.

You should then be able to see it in windows and copy the relevant files.

I don't seem to have a file with .VMDK extention. This is what I have.. after downloading the files as per post #1 , after extractions with 7Zip utility, I now have three Folders, ICOM emulator v3.1 Rev(b), ista_d_ista_p emulator mod v3.1 and ISTA-D_2.36_ISTA-P_2.50.2.
In the last folder, I have a file ISTA-D_2.36_ISTA-P_2.50.2 as file type 7Z file. (size 38,624,876...).
If I try to unzip this file, it says it is not a 'archive'.
I hope the above may give some clues to where I am going wrong.

why did you combine the files? there is no need. best to start again.

all you need to do is:

right click on part 1 > 7-zip > extract here. all the parts will then extract automatically. after extraction you should have the vdmk file. see picture below for help.

I deleted all the files because I changed something. At present I extract the files again. Time remained 1h.

In the past the icom emulator wasn´t in the connection manager.

Re-check location of mod files is correct (there is more than one apps folder so make sure you put it in the right place. Other people have made this mistake.)

Both vms need to be running at the same time and network adaptor 1 in both needs to be set to custom(vmnet2).
