How can the front grilles of the 2021 BMW X4 (G02) be disabled? I’ve searched extensively online but haven't found anything; is there anyone who has done this or knows how to do it?

BMW provides aftermarket adjustments (called E-words) that dealers can use if a customer has a problem. One of these adjustments is "DAKK_DEACTIVATION_AIR_FLAPS." Here is what it does to the car's settings:
1. Changes DME \ 3020 BSU_BEREICH \ AKKS from Wert_02 [02] to Wert_00 [00]
2. Changes DSC3 \ 3003 BNKonfigSW \ C_BNKonfigSW_Receive_ST_COOL_FLAP_BRK_FTAX_aktiv_l from aktiv [01] to nicht_aktiv [00]

What I don't understand is the connection between the DME and the DSC—specifically, why the front grille has a link to the DME.
