Last night I installed all updates from 8.02 to 8.19, they went fine and the system ran without problems, but I have not tested it on a car yet..
However, I tried porting the full solution to another computer (extract without install, thinking of packaging it fully updated) but I had challenges with PC Identifier: Look into C:\AWRoot\dtwr\cfg\infopds.xml
As I said earlier, I might do a write up on this subject, I need to evaluate the value of the exercise.. But having said that, if you install the engines that I posted few days back, you will end up with a system that is very near to V8.

After every successful installation, navigate to C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\ and create a back up of APPDIAG.SYS file. This is the configuration file that blocks you when it thinks you are tampering with the system.

When you install at first, you choose your language, the updates maintain this scheme. I have my own compilations where the original configuration is maintained. With respect to Maitresox's, he advised users to use my manual method for language change if needed..

Me I installed Mr. scary's 7.01 -restart-7.02
Copy the APPDIAG in other place ( maybe you need it to replace it )
Installed 7.57 Mr. scary's updates
Then all Mr. Maitresox's upgrades and in the last Mr. Simple's upgrade

Sorry dear, I think I am really unaware of the subject well, what do you mean by copying APPDIAG in other place? Cutting and removing it? If so, should I again put it to original place? If yes, at which point?

No cut !!! Make a copy of Appdiag on desktop. I make an archive of this file in the same original map.

For the technically oriented:
Below is a link for the complete "C:\APP" folder for DiagBox version 8.19 (includes Lexia and PP2000) already updated (838MB).. it does not include the DiagBox 8.19 "C:\AWRoot" which has the Profile Configuration files, but it should work with your current "C:\AWRoot", and the reported version number on your computer will NOT be changed. It might require the installation of VC++ 2008..

If you notice any operational difference; share the experience.

Try at your own risk...

To try it:
1- Kill all DiagBox services (including sim and FireBird)
2- Rename your current "C:\APP" folder to "C:\APP7"
3- Extract (Here) the App819 to the "C:\" drive and you should have "C:\APP" (make sure you don't have another APP folder inside C:\App\)
4- Restart the computer and try the complete DiagBox 8.19 Engines..

To revert:
1- Just kill all services (including sim and FireBird).
2- Rename the "C:\App" folder to "C:\APP819"
3- Rename "C:\APP7" to "C:\APP"
4- Restart the computer and run DiagBox,
5- If all is well, delete "C:\APP819" or keep it to try whatever you wish at a later stage..

You can always take snapshot and revert back if it failed.

i didn't understand it perfectly but let me ask you detailed after i install 7.02 from the beginning and replace the app director with yours. when i get an error, i will be right here
