RE: How to register 100Amp battery on E61
If there's no other battery available you can do it the way you heard of, but that's not the recommended way.
There's even a difference between a BMW battery and an aftermarket battery when registering it to the car. ISTA asks for that in the registry process. Hit Thanks and Reputation button if this post helped you.

Or is that wrong information I've been given Shure because the ECU is dealing with the following parameters: - The current kilometre reading is stored for the battery replacement. - The stored measured values (battery charge statuses, current, voltage, temperature, etc.) are deleted. - The power management is initialised. An incorrect regstering will result in the wrong battery charging maps. For example try to think about an ECU engine map, it is near the same, but only for the charging and discharching process. Later and I mean not after one week the battery will be destroyed every time wrong current and wrong charging processes. Remember if you full discharge your Handy all the way. It is a question of time the battery is death. A good explanation about the battery process can be found in the diagnostic software itself. You only have take a look inside the text search for "Register battery replacement" or "FUB-HIL-BLB0506HI-612100". The capabilities are much more than only reading and clearing faults of your car. If you want to repair modern automotive stuff you have to be familar with the functional routines. I dont have to tell you where you can find it here I think Regards, B1257 |
