Hi to all,
For latest bmw cars generation, when FA is up to date with new VO, this is automatically transcribed to BMW car database (available in AOS). However, I can't figure out in which moment the information is uploaded.
In some cases, I see that's done under 24h, for others, after several weeks.. Someone knows more about this please ?
Maybe after ISTA online car connection, information is uploaded instantly to BMW DB ? I didn't try

Yes. Seems to happen instantly when car is connected.

Unfortunately, I just tried for 2 cars with ISTA online connected - all car ECU updated. But still VO list online are not updated yet after 2 days.

I wonder what triggers the update..

AFAIR someone already said on this forum that it's updated by dealer ISTA ONLY.

Yes, ISTA dealer is used here.
The objective here is to update car VO list in ETK/KaSIO. It’s done automatically for new generation cars, but under a random delay

Updates with AOS ISTA too and ETK has shown new VO pretty much straight away after connecting car to ISTA. At least with F-series, but I would assume it's same for all.

Yes, sure !
The VO is updated on car FA. Also showed in ISTA AOS… no problem for that.
Now, for ETK/KaSIO and ConnectedDrive apps, the VO list is updated too, but only after a delay. Sometimes 24h, sometimes 3 months (considering my experience)
The objective here is to update VO list for two cars (G-Serie) in ETK/Kasio, but I also would like to understand the algorithm updating this car info

Cars with RSU update vo usually within 2 days themselves if you update connected services.
Gxx without rsu sometimes takes couple of days after read out with aos ista.
Fxx they sometimes don’t update and sometimes they do not sure why.
Exx/Rxx doesn’t update anymore somehow. I’ve read my R56 several times with aos ista and it doesn’t update option list. Only mileage and ilevel changes.

Keep in mind this is aos ista. Can happen that those cars do update when dealer reads key and fault memory.

Onca we retrifited soft close to G30 and connect it to usual ISTA from torrent, but there was FASTA protocol activated. Within 2 days changes we made where listed in additional equipment in AIR
