Wish I could buy original 3 Vin same price as in USA, without loaders with support. Difficult to purchase because Clone Hex V2 looks the same and difficult to find a reliable seller.

Hi to all!
I've just bought a chinese. clone of VCDS interface with SW. It's HEX-V2 with this print on the shell: "H10-000000". It has FW 1.96 and HW 0x46. It has come with VCDS 17.8.0 The HW seem to be NOT composed by ATMega and probably it has a NEC processor. If so I know that there are no way to update the cable FW. But ... Can I update the VCDS SW ? If yes at which version ? 17.8.1 ? 18.1 or 18.2 or newer ? ...without update the cable fw ? Many thanks, Enry |

I've updated my cable with VCDSLoader_v6.3. VAGCOM_HWType says (after the update): FW Version 1.95, HW Version 0x46, Identification: ROSSTECH.
When I try to use VCDS, I'm getting the error message: "VCDS: Port Test - Ross-Tech USB Interface Not Found! USB Library Version: 03.01.19 - Interface Not Found! What's going wrong? Many thanks! |

I updated to the newest version and now it works perfect. I also figured out what caused my trouble: I was using the normal shortcut and forgot to replace it with the VCDSLoader shortcut  ...Many thanks for your quick help
