RE: << Perfekt Toolbox 0.2b >> e6X/e7X/e8X/e9X Cluster Tool
Here's something different for you guys that are good with this software. I customize clusters. I've retrofitted variable redline to 335i clusters and was able to get the starting point (4500 rpm) where I wanted it and the end point without a lot of problem.

I'm fitting it to 335d clusters now and want the redline to start at 3500 rpm and move to 5k. I only have my 335i to use as a test vehicle for the coding. I think I have it figured out strictly from trial and error but I'd like to be sure it's correct. Is it possible to calculate the warning zone for somethng like this? I do have the stock readings from a EU Alpina 320d cluster that had variable redline if that helps.

Just got a general question about the oil temperature mod.

Is there a cheat sheet where all the available emgines are listed where the mod works?

Since I’ve tried it on our 330d 231PS and it didn’t work. Only the consumption works. But on a 330I it worked.

Does it work for 335d or are all the Diesel Motors excluded?

Those steps points reflect how many steps the motor has to pass to get to the corresponding point. For example, when you drive at real 116 km/h (120 km/h as displaying speed), the speedometer arrow should be at point #4 and arrow's motor should pass specified number of steps at steps point #4.

So you need to calculate middle step points (between 0 and 7153) accordingly to your speed points.
For example, point #4 again:

116.0 km/h of 250 km/h (point #5) means 116/250 = 0.464. Multiply it to maximum amount of steps (7153) and you will get amount of steps to get to point #4. 3319 steps in this case.

So try to calculate points #2 and #3 by yourself using the same method. BTW be aware that it works only if your dial is marked linearly (with equal speed steps).
I tried this calculation but it didn't work for me, I have 300km/h dial instead of 260 (Diesel)

When i calculate it like above, it still doesn't show the right values when driving? When i test it with Ella day 100 km/h, the gauge jumps to 100.

I guess the stepper calculate I've done is wrong.
Could someone help me?

Is it possible to use it on bench?

Wanted to read out E9X cluster and connected Can H/L and +/- and my icom. But it's giving me error. Reserved it and changed ip adress. Probably not possible?

You need a gateway and CAS, it's all here in the forum.

- FSC Apple CarPlay for NBT Evo Fullscreen and MGU  OEM
- FSC-Set for Retrofit CiC, NBT and NBT Evo with USB 18-11 or remote
- FSC Kafas BE, BF and 7E SLI, Kafas4 Speedlimit 11F, WWA 13, FCW 13F
- VIM for NBT Evo, install with USB 18-11 or remote
- FSC for BMW Apps, Sirius Radio, EPS

Didn't find a thread, jbbf or cas or do I need both?

Do I need a working key for wakeup can?

yes, you need a working key,
jbbf/kgm + cas + key

RE: << Perfekt Toolbox 0.2b >> e6X/e7X/e8X/e9X Cluster Tool
So I got another question regarding the speed dial. I swapped from 260 to 300 for a friend of mine.

Saw some post where ppl calculated the new stepper motors but the calculation doesn't work for me.

Effective real speed
0.0 | 7.8 | 47.1 | 116.0 | 269.1

Display speed
0.0 | 10.0 | 50.0 | 120.0 | 280.0

Stepper motor
0 | 165 | 825 | 1980 | 4622

If Im correct I have to calculate like this:

Effective speed / maximum km/h on dial : maximum stepper

So for the first block it's 7.8/280*2622 = 128. I just want to make the calculation based on the OEM values to get a feeling for the calculation.

But 128 is not the value that's in the first block, which is 165.

Could someone please give me a calculation that actually works? I calculated everything for a 300kmh dial but the speed was incorrect, so I had to manually change each block till we got the display speed correct.
