You do not have to change it. but as i said you can do custom coding to keep existing ones or you can change it and rewire it accordingly.

Save your original FDL/Cafd, then code with FA 522 and compare both files. Replace values associated with tail lights in new FDL/Cafd

Open wiring diagram from the car with 522/524 option , rewire your tail lights, then save your original FDL/Cafd, code FRM with FA 522 save the file and then compare both files. Transfer values associated with tail lights from FDl with 522 to your halogen file.
