I have a F55 "S" sportautomatic, without the MINI DRIVING MODES.

Therefore I can't select ECO-MID-SPORT because I don't have the selector on the base of the shifter.
I've read there's a way to code the modes and retrofit the selector, you can easily buy them on Ebay.

I have a few questions :

- is there any way you can CODE the driving modes so that you can switch to SPORT (pops&bangs), without the selector retrofit but trough another button that's already on the car and possibly on the same circuit? I'm thinking of the "Auto Start/Stop button". Would be so great that the car would go from MID to SPORT by pressing that button..

   

Another question :

- had anyone without "Driving Modes", tried switching modes through BimmerCode or Carly? Does it work if you don't have the selector installed?

Really want the MiniDrivingModes! All help appreciated!!

If the selector is indispensible, is it a straight fit? The selector has some connections, is there a wiring harnass prepped on the Mini?

How to wire up the selctor, is that difficult?

I saw someone who coded the driving modes, without selector, but he couldn't switch them without changing the codes...
