I thought maybe your icom was set in ispi mode. Not ispi next. This has caused weird issues before. But is this only happening on dcan vehixles? How new is the mini?

I have tired 4 minis from 2008 to 2011 all result in the same message yes there via dcan i think i just use the one cable to connect to all cars.

Is there something i am missing i am just lost to be honest with this now...

Tested 3.64.0.600 and 3.65.0.500 I tired loaders 6.1 and 6.3 and 6.4 lite

Could this be the Problem I also tested the Verison before that?

I have the new ISTA-P also downloaded but I didn't install that yet as i saw a few people having error's

So i was still using this,


Was there bugs for Mini or something on these?

Did you tride loader 4.9 and when did the problems actually arise?

When loader starts up, do you select MINI from the Icons?

Does Ista+ works on the Mini with Icom?

Hello yes i pick mini from the selection on the loader as you can see my selction is oranage the text etc meaning mini i tired on bmw ista p but it says this car can't be read move to mini and it reads but then shows that error.

No mini doesn't work on ISTA + its too old it tells me to use ista-P i would needgo somehow get a newer mini in

Ista+ works fine for BMW no problems at all same with ista p for e46 etc bmws

I don't know why it's doing this only on minis.

Should i try the latest ista-P or drop down some versions

I have never had problems before with the software allways been flawless.

Anyone else got any ideas stuck here all day on this stupid car...

If Mini R56 is in the F-series category then: Try this sequence. Turn off all Antivirus or remove them all together and turn off windows defendef and firewall then : 1st>Plug in driver's seat belt: 2nd>Tern on terminal 15: 3rd> Give a minute for control units too boot up, then connect Genuine ICOM to DLC 16 Pin connector, then allow ip address to set in tcp/ip setting in windows. Then go ahead and try establish connection Mini R56. 

If this procedure doesnt work then try out another interface like Enet cable for Mini R56

I have now tired,

4.9 Loader 6.1 and 6.4l lite 

 ISTA-P 3.65.1.002 

 ISTA-P 3.65.0.500 

I am selecting the MINI logo on the Loaders,

My ICOM is fully up to date and working on all BMW cars just not mini,

I have no firewall on defender and firewall both turned off,

I create a new session, Goes fine, Asks me if any units have been replaced I click NO and agree,

Car finds the VIN and Series of Mini all fine,

Hangs for around 2-3 mins,

Then says The ICOM is in an invalid state and the session can't carry on,

This device must be disconnected and reconnected to start a new session 

and then i must click end,

And it goes back to the Create a session home page,

Tired around 4 Versions of ISTA-P now I am lost to what is going on now...

I also tired as people said with sealt belts doesn't make a difference tired battery reset ICOM reset noting seems to get it going.

Now fixed,

Don't know what change but i reinstalled Windows all net-frames and latest ISTA-P Minis working again

I have the same problem but with bmw's.
try all...restart icom/laptop, plug MOST, update net frame...
There is someone that knows how to fix this?
