RE: cas / cluster bench setup
first thank you to wxwwxw who was a major help in his first diagram which i based my setup on, but i was never able to get the cas to connect and now i have!

also big thanks to IMPAC helping me on the build and eventually also pointed me to change a few wires that fixed the issue which were:
cas pin 26 to blue plug jbbfe2 pin 10
cas pin 35 to blue plug jbbfe2 pin 36

obd2 pin 1 to cas pin 8 for wake up.

i am now successfully able to connect to KOMBI and CAS with INPA, NCSEXPERT, CGDI, MULTI TOOL, at least those are all i tested on so far. key error shows up if incorrect key is in slot, and now i can start the cluster after pressing START with correct programed key. exactly what i wanted to do with this.

here a quick video.

here is updated diagram:

PARTS:
KOMBI (CLUSTER)
KEY HOLDER and PUSH TO START button.
ELV (im using a emulator, only needed for ELV CAS, figure better to have it on the system, havn't tried without it)
OBD2 port (im using a oem one from a e90, which has the resistor on the hi and low lines)
JBBFE2 (make sure its the 2 NOT the jbbe which didn't work, i got the JBBFE2 from a 2008 e90)
CAS 2/3 MODULE
a power source, im using Lavolta bps-305 dc power supply.

i made everything easier for me by using OEM plugs to connect to everything easier and faster between parts.hopefully my month long journey on building this can help anyone else, i appreciate everyone who has helped. my next update will be to try to connect a MASK/CCC to this, if anyone can help with with that, please post and ill post more updates to this.

I think my problem is the JBBF. I am using a 2010 JBBF. Guess I have to look for an older one.

CAS3 9147227 no ELV
CAS3 9147226 with ELV

From this and his excellent diagram it appears that ELV is not JBBF2 but CAS dependent.
It looks like cost effective set up will be:
- Start button
- Key holder
- CAS 9147227 + assigned key <- no need for ELV or ELV emulator
- JBBF2 61359192740 (confirmed for working according to diagram)
- OBD port
- KOMBI (could be any)

Cniksor,
Can you please share resistance values on CAN Hi and CAN Low lines in E90 port ?

RE: cas / cluster bench setup
Hello! I am in the process of connecting modules on the table and I noticed that my CAS and JBBFE II modules do not have a PIN 40 output. I do not know what to do. Can I add these pins myself? Thanks in advance for tips and greet
