BMW F82 no High Beam issues
Hi guys,
I have a BMW M4 imported from US. I'm from Germany and I installed EU xenon headlights non-ahl. Car had AHL xenon before but I could not find any in a good shape. So I decided to buy a used in perfect condition but non-ahl. I was able to code out 524 Adaptive Headlights and recode FEM. So now all lights are working find except High Beam. They don't work, there's no reaction when I pull the stack. Can anyone help me with it? I checked all wiring diagrams and I don't see that there are any differences between EU and US wiring in this car. Or maybe I'm missing something? Any help will be much appreciated. |

RE: BMW F82 no High Beam issues
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you need to wire BIX wire for shutter, pin 6 on headlight. If car has FEM.

RE: BMW F82 no High Beam issues
Wiring is different between AHL & Xenon, Shutter is controlled via KCAN3 signal with AHL & physical shutter wire for Xenon.

RE: BMW F82 no High Beam issues
Thanks for your reply.
Car has FEM and when I check in ISTA I see no difference or maybe I'm looking in a wrong place. Let me check again. I had the same situation in BMW F36, 428i, car also came from US and AHL Xenon has been installed and car had AHL before and also there's no higg beam so I don't get it... You meant K-CAN2 not 3, right? RE: BMW F82 no High Beam issues
I am referring to this schematic. Don’t know exact car situation but you could measure resistance on these pins to check if there is a stepper motor behind the PIN numbers.
