cic c16 is enough to usb update. you have some other issue.

Have you tried using any other Map apart from what you already have, i guess your map file is corrupt itself. Try using a New Map and ANew USB, that way you can at least narrow down to CIC related problem only.

Confirmed USB isn't working. I downloaded the USBx3 Europe Premium 2018 and the CIC didn't recognize the USB. The thumb drive is a 32GB USB formatted in FAT32.

Back to the original Road Map HongKong Macao PREMIUM 2019-1 and changed the Info_Map.imp info from 2019-1 to 2014-1 and now my CIC is asking me for a new FSC code. I tried the FSC code for 2019 didn't work and I generated a new 2014 FSC code and will try again later today. Any concern if I changed the Info_Map.imp?

I also ran ISTA D and found some errors on the CIC, not sure what they are. I will try to also get a screenshot when I'm at it later today.

 It is on a DVD.  Also the HongKong Macao Map is slightly different than other regions, it only has 1 DVD.  (I guess it is due to the region is so small)

Update: Both 2019 and 2014 FSC code didn't work.  It said it is invalid after I modified the Info_Map.imp.  Please see the attached screen shots from ISTA D for errors and some of the info on my CIC modules.  I can clear those error, but it will comes back after I drove the car for awhile...  I believe one of them is saying I have a battery drain, which is normal as I have a car cam running all the times.

Some info on my CIC.  I currently have HongKong Macao Premium Map 2010 from factory.

What will happened if I deactivate the map and re-activate it?  Will I need FSC code to do that again?  

Btw, please see the CIC screen that I'm trying to get out of.  "Insert DVD 1"  No matter what I do, it will not get out of this screen.  Tried using ISTA D to reset the CIC.

just update sw to the latest version and then try with a usb from an older/newer version of map. if you have HK map, i suggest to use. the same version

don t try to alter or mix maps. just install them as they are, don t combine them
