RE: How-to flash nbt evo id4 to id5/6
Ok, i have some news. my car is equiped with an NBT HU EVO HW2.3 B245. I have connectors connected on WIFI,BT and GPS.
So according with these informations, what can i do? It seems that B240 are equiped with 4Gb, i don't know about B245. EDIT: I read that id5 & 6 work on this version of NBT with no errors. According why that, somebody can explain me the process? |

Most ID4 Evo units in Mini have 4 gb memory if not all. Like I said, you will lose BT once upgraded to ID5. Upgrading from Id4 to id5 only involves using an ID5 FA and making sure you click Detect HW button when calculating TAL. You are wasting your time like I said. But feel free to do it and report back. |

RE: How-to flash nbt evo id4 to id5/6
I gonna try, if Bluetooth doesn’t work it’s not a problem.
So step by step: - i delete fsc - I change FA for Id6 date (can you give me the right one?) - I use the package given in this post: https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=44808 (don’t need to calculate Tal and others) - I enter new fsc with femtoevo Any comments ? I have already do that on a ds4 and it was more simple... |

But I think you will need bluetooth to pair your wireless CarPlay?
@bmwcoder75 is the losing BT issue only on Mini? (not on BMW) |

RE: How-to flash nbt evo id4 to id5/6
Using CarPlay need WiFi or usb, not Bluetooth. In my second car (3008) i connect only usb.
I do searches since 2 weeks and it’s the first time I heard problems about Bluetooth on nbt evo B2xx. There is a lot of issues on B1xx but B2xx seems work fine. Just one constraint: don’t update after 03/18. I am ready to test, and if Bluetooth doesn’t work after it’s not a matter Can anybody give the Zeikriterium for id6? |

Nevermind she spent 2 weeks reading about it she has it all figured out. Yet alone she learned from me about B2xx meaning and limitation about going over 03.2018 istep when evo id4 is used.. OP do you even have a bench to flash your Evo unit? If not, forget about flashing that unit in the car..not gonna happen.. |
