hello, i Need some help. I have a bmw f31 and wanted to retrofit the camera kafas. I already have the kafas and the ECU will replace the windscreen. kafas was taken from a Bmw f31 that had just activated the SLI 8TH, is it possible to activate something without FSC? I read in another forum that some people activate some functions without FSC. or even activate collision warning and others with emulator?

As far as I am aware any FSC set from a KAFAS ECU will work. As long as the FSC is loaded correctly you should be fine. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. I have retrofitted KAFAS2 to my F10 and the FSC set from the donor vehicle is still working perfectly which leads me to believe that any KAFAS2 FSC set will be fine.

the vehicle from which the kafas came out only has SLI 8TH, would it work in it? Is it possible to retrofit 5AS and 5AD? and for the 5AC HBA and even needed to change the SZL or is it possible to retrofit putting on by default?

I believe if you retrofit that kafas ecu you will only get SLI. I am led to believe that you can import any FSC kit for kafas providing you have the full kit and VIN of donor vehicle. There are many repair kits on the forum that should work. I was lucky that my kafas ecu had all 3 fsc's available. There are guides to installing fsc available on here, what have you got to lose? You only have SLI at the moment and adding a full repair FSC set should give you all 3; pedestrian detection and collision avoidance.
