Yes I did that for sure, I can see that donor vin appeared in TAL log too, so I am certain they had been entered correctly.

Below is the error I got after I followed the step described in the post:

negative response error:
code: RoutineControl returned negative response
description: service Routine Control Verify FSC returned positive response with with result status = FGN_CHECK_FAILURE; LinkName: KAFAS2_5D_ETHERNET
severity: ERROR

I think there should be some additional condition are required before the mentioned procedure can work.

So, to make things further confusing. My original KAFAS2, I just flashed to latest ilevel leaving CDdeploy unchecked. On completion I injected CAFD and VO coded, I then check FSC status in comfort mode, all accepted. In expert mode I readdatabyidentifiervin, decode the HEX and it’s my vehicle VIN for my car, not FSC VIN! Check FSC status again, all accepted! I’m not going to play any further as everything is working as it should.

You think that CAS has something to do with it? I don’t know enough to comment, why do you think this is? This time I didn’t have to do any FSC work or loading, they just remained accepted after I injected CAFD and VO coded. They are accepted even though my own VIN is shown when reading VIN using the readdatabyvinidentifier. All very strange, but I feel lucky!

I still have no way to test I'm waiting for parts to start the retrofit. the ECU I just bought brings active 5AD and 5AG and I even wanted it to be the front collision but I'm not sure what it is. in other forums say that it is 5AS and others that the 5AD also does front collision.

What car do you have?

I think it depends on what vehicle you have. For example F46 vehicles with KAFAS don’t have SLI 8TH available as an option to VO code however it can be enabled with FDL coding. If you read the FA on your vehicle then edit it you can add 5AD/5AG to you SALAPA. After you do that you can calculate FP, I’m sure if it’s not an option you will get an error message. In my F10 3AG rear parking cam isn’t an option but 3AH is. 

Therefore depending on you vehicle you could have drive assist plus 5AS or drive assist plus with ACC 5AT, or Lane Depart departure warning 5AG. The single options would be available in some vehicles as part of a package, or individually in others. 

You can do a lot with Esys without the modules if you want to sit and play.

Also, 5AG is not KAFAS/FSC related and relies on sensors behind rear bumpers.

i'm retrofitting kafas2 to enable sli, active cruise control etc (it's bmw i3).
All FSC according to esys are accepted but kafas2 haven't been coded to vehicle.
if i code it did i lose fsc status accepted?

Can I use function WDBI to write my VIN to kafas or something can happen with FSCs?
