RE: BMW F20 Fuses question
Is there anything behind it? Could just be a spare/blank. There’s no number for it on the card and ISTA doesn’t list it.
I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

RE: BMW F20 Fuses question
(15-09-2019, 09:22 AM)DayvG Wrote: So it is a spare? I don't know what it is. After a shortcircuit at engine compartiment, the car wouldn't start anymore. So, I went and check every fuse of the car, to find out why the car doesn't start. The problem was obviously(check the photo). But, when I checked the fuses, i have also found that fuse damaged. So, I have replaced the main battery cable and the fuse and started the car. All was fine, but on ISTA/D shows a DC/DC converter error. I have bought a new DC/DC converter and replace it. The error was still there. I have removed that fuse, and the error was gone. All ok. So, what the hell is that fuse? I don`t know if the fuse was blown before or during the engine compartiment shortcircuit. |

RE: BMW F20 Fuses question
Does the car have something aftermarket fitted? Like an alarm or whatever? It could be for that.

RE: BMW F20 Fuses question
No, the car is stock. No aftermarket equipment installed. I'm thinking that maybe the previous owner of the car replaced a fuse, and kept the old one in that place, thinking that place is for spare fuses. I couldn't find anything about that fuse on ISTA or elsewhere, that's why this is so confusing.

RE: BMW F20 Fuses question
Does that place have metal contacts in it at all? Places for spares do not.
