F10 Acc sensor retrofit wiring and mounting question
I am preparing myself for acc retrofit in my 2015 f10.
There are two things which I have no idea how to do: 1. Mounting acc bracket to front bumper. 2. Wiring acc under the bonnet. Does anybody have experience with above? As I understand acc bracket is actually not using screws but some other funny method which I never came across myself. How did you guys handle it? As to wiring, I don’t have a problem with how to get the wires from icm/kafas the to under the bonnet area, however after that, I am lost as there seems to be almost multiple chambers separated by connectors. One of the connector is x148*1b https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f10-520d-lim/S0j1eiV, which I cannot locate myself. I am wondering if I need to disassemble completely front bumper and possibly right light? Any hands on experience and guidance really appreciated as I don’t want to screw it up. Thanks |

Ensure you have the correct bracket as they differ between M Sport 66318047454 and non M Sport 66316775361. Screws to secure sensor 07146777838. If you want the BMW way you need 3 Pop rivets 66316777308 and a large pop rivet gun. Search ebay or amazon but it must take the large 6.4mm rivets. Remove bumper, locate fixing points, you may need to snap away a small piece of trim (its designed to be removed) then fix the bracket in place with the rivets. There is a plug under the RHS headlight that the wiring should connect to for an OEM install. The ground goes to the RHS fog lamp and power is supplied from the fuse using the fuse pick of parts we discussed previously. I picked some up from my dealership yesterday to finish/tidy my previous KAFAS2 and ACC retrofit. I'll do this whilst fitting the towbar as I need to take a feed from the front fuse panel. I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

RE: F10 Acc sensor retrofit wiring and mounting question
How did you route the harness to the cabin? I`m about to do this same retrofit to my 2011/12... Already got other parts except the grill and driving assistant button panel.

RE: F10 Acc sensor retrofit wiring and mounting question
There is a rubber firewall grommet on the drivers (RHD) footwell just above the accelerator pedal. I don’t know about LHD. There is a point there you can punch a hole through. If you search for installing the side view repair cable on ISTA/newtis it shows it clearly there. As I already installed the side view cams I had a route through.
I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.
