HU_CHAMP boot loop
Hi,

I know that the software corruption causing boot loop is a common issue on F3x/F2x with no nav. Anyone seen this on F10 with HU_CHAMP? I got asked to look at a 2010 F10 with no nav that has boot loop. The screen is constantly booting and only showing BMW logo, but the radio is playing the  selected radio station without issues, so I assume the hardware should be working. Due the boot loop you can't change radio stations etc.

I'm thinking I'm going to try to flash the software on HU_CHAMP to see if it fixes it. Anyone tried this?

RE: HU_CHAMP boot loop
I had the same, but NBT with navi after update`ing the maps from 2013 to 2018-2 and because of the 3d content and my old firmware on NBT, that loop was happening.
It got fixed by flashed the NBT.
I was so desperate that I done it without a battery maintainer, but after a 45 minutes journey to work and the battery was perfectly charged.
I will not recommend, my luck was that I had a spare shirt with me (never sweated so much). I was so nervous to not fail and brick it smile
But if you have the right tools, a flash will fix it.
Good luck

Remove the SD-Card in the HU and see what happens. Sometimes a corrupt SD-Card causes the bootloops.
The SD-Card is located right at the front, behind the silver sticker / label.

RE: HU_CHAMP boot loop
Hello,
I had exactly the same problem on my F20 with HU without navigation after diagnosis with ISTA 4.14.14 and since restart without stop. Even after updating at the concession.

I got a 55A power supply ICOM etc.  So flashing is not an issue. Just wanted to know if anyone got this issue.

Didn't know there was an SD-card in the HU_champ. I'll check that too, when I get the chance to look at the car. So I don't need to remove the unit from car? Removing the panel housing the start button and the ihka/radio front panel is enough? Anyone got a picture of the sd card location?

Did you use ENET or Icom?
