2012 M6 EVO retrofit
Need to retrofit NBT EVO into a 2012 M6 that has CIC from factory.
Are there any issues to watch out for, any special emulators needed? (I have HU Engineering Tool for FSC's) What screen is needed? Thanks Author of Car Connector - remote ICOM & ENET tool - Built in VPN for easy coding and remote diagnostics Closed Beta in progress - Open Beta starting Jan 2024. |

Use carsystems emulator or bimmerretrofit pre lci nbt evo adapter, they also have atm emulator if you want bmw online to work also. Depending on your production date, zgw that needs replacement to zgw2, or reflash current to zgw2 8sk if possible. Also make sure to rewire for kcan2 for headunit, controller and touch ecu. - Remote coding & programming - F 8HP45/50/70/75 ISN reset remote

- Change screen by screen nbt evo or nbt (with cable drop voltage) or cover screen cic + lcd screen G serie (if you need sceen touch).
- Update ZGW to ZGW2 to have Kcan2 (Nbt evo/idrive use Kcan2). - Add wire (Kcan2) from ZGW to Nbt evo and Idrive. - Secure coding (NCD 2.0) fit to FA changed (Typschlussel, Serie, Region...).
- Remove component protection MGU18/21 (only case BDC replace). - ID8.5 (SFA) conversion/ change region map. - Virgin Kafas4, MRR, RAM used. - Mgu patch, fsc custom match to vin, remove CP. - Reset ISN 7DTC, 8HP for F, G serie (include EGS7). - Write ISN MG1/MD1 with remotely. - Carplay/Android Auto MGU with/without ATM (6AE). You can change ZGW or can use software flash. On 2012 M6 is software flash possible. If my post helped you hit the thanks and reputation button. Thank you.

All F06 F12 F13 always have ZGW2, only with most.
Just flash it with 8sk software and lay the can2 line. |
