MSV90 cloning by hexprog
Hi,
Need to clone msv90 ecu. Numbers are different. Could they be cloned by hexprog? If I helped, please magic buttons thx+rep

yes they are interchangeable. However in my opinion it is better to read ISN from original DME and over write ISN in donor DME and reset working hours in donor DME. This requires more steps like restoring oil service interval, injector calibrations and battery replacement history and programming correct software.
Cloning DME will overwrite original part numbers/production dates etc, however it is ready to go after cloning, usually no additional steps like restoring oil service, injector calibrations and battery replacement history, or programming correct firmware/software always try to go same or higher in DME numbers when replacing DME EX: 5WK92611 TO 5WK92613+ |

Speaking of MSV90 - what is the best way of turning off rear lambda monitoring, i.e converting to EURO2 emission standard?
I've heard one way to be resetting ECU running hours and than coding two parameters. Other way is tool32 -> msv90.prg -> ecu_config_reset and than some ISTA procedure involving resetting changes or something alike? |

So it turns out, that Hexprog cant read this ecu...
For almost 99% it end with comunnication fault tryging to unlock ecu. 1 of 20 attemps are success. Have 4 backup reading but on every readings are different. Its imposible to write anyting to ecu (communication fault)... In boot mode, there are no faults when reading, but backup files are different.... If I helped, please magic buttons thx+rep

Try bunch of power supply, usb cables, laptops, windows 7, windows 10... every time same...communication fault when unlocking ecu. When finally hexprog unlock ecu it read without problem but every readed files are different... @AZCKNCLLC at what software version You have successfully cloned this ecu?
