From effort/complexity point of view, which way is smoother? Adapting used HDD or brand new?

brand new ofcourse, you just have to find compatible one that has required S.M.A.R.T. attributes.

I also need to replace an HDD in an NBT Evo ID4. can someone give me the password for SHH? I lost it and I don't remember the whole password anymore.

to create a HDD for NBT Evo ID4 is different from ID5/6? on my ID5 I created an HDD without problem through SSH, but on ID4 I can't, nor can I manually do FDISK.
For NBT I create HDD in QNX for ID4 will be the same, same size of partitions and directories?
the old HDD is still working, but sometimes the navigation takes a long time to start until the NBT restarts!

Hello together. I have an M5 F90 here PRE-LCI with HU-H (NBTevo) ID6.
He put some liquid into the air conducts above the HU for disinfect the climate

Since then he has no music at internal storage (not available), Navigation is "loading" but never starting or showing the map. USB stick is not recognized (arm rest + below the HU), BT Audio doesn´t start.

BT phonecalls are available.

Ista is showing that the internal HDD is damaged/not available and that we should swap the whole HU.

My idea is to try it first with an new HDD.

What are u recommending me?

And who could help me with new hdd as I have no experience with NBTevo. Which HDD should be used? FSC for MAP and so on...

Replace hdd first and hope that liquid did not get to other parts of the headunit. Procedure has been described many times on this forum. Use the search function.

Does anyone of you have a Image of the HDD? I didn´t find a description how to proceed, maybe lost after Forum-crash!?

And I did a mistake it is a ID5 (With big Tiles)
