Online ETK shows ICAM part # when you choose 3AG option.

all VINs I've seen of f40 and G20 with camera none have 3AG option but 5DM which I think is a set. if it is possible to retrofit, I think activation has to be done through FDL coding.

You could easily add 3AG and code it even though EU spec doesn’t come with it (USA does)

So I'm going to buy the parts, I have installation wires for an f48 I think I can adapt to this one.

camera on f48 uses can3 line, more suitable and less expensive is G3x post-assembly wiring, it costs around 30 euros and is already suitable for ethernet signals

I recently did this on BMW F40 with help.
Camera connected via ethernet to BDC.

I added 3AG to FA but was unable to flash camera and make it work. Turned out I needed 5DM option and it was possible to flash and worked perfectly after. So I added 5DM with only the reverse camera and it works without problem.

I can confirm You must Put 5DM option to Vehicle order , my car came originally with 5DM , I switch the hole system to 5DN 3D surround view .
ICAM2-R you need because ecu is inside the rear camera. see if the build is newer than your car , then it wil work with no problem. I sold my original Icam2-R last week. they are on eBayalso .
if you go to Newtis you find the wiring diagram needs to be wiring with 7 wires from bdc to rear of the car hopefully you find the correct wire ,there are 2 black shielded cable going to BDC . the icam2-R plug is different than the Icam2-S they are not switchable , the wiring pins are different to.
