F39 X2 LED Headlight Issue
Has anyone experienced issues after coding used Headlights & FLE Modules on an F39 X2?
We replaced both headlights due to accident & programmed & coded both FLE modules successfully. The whole car is on 23-03 iLevel. We are left with "Low Beam Headlight open circuit" errors in both Headlights, when you tuen the low beam on it works for a few seconds then switches off. We assumed the replacement headlights were faulty so purchased 2 more with the same results. We then tested all 4 FLE Modules on one of the damaged headlights (Only lense damage) & they work fault free. My question is what are the chances of buying 4 headlights all with the same fault? |

First of all I would try to reflash FLE`s and if it would not help than I would check if istep matches with bdc and only in last place I would check headlights itself.

This is the problem of coding. Headlights and modules need to be coded for them to match
- Secure coding (NCD 2.0) fit to FA changed (Typschlussel, Serie, Region...).
- FSC 1AA002 OEM for remove component protection MGU18/21 (only case BDC replace). - ID8.5 (SFA) conversion/ change region map. - Virgin Kafas4, MRR, RAM used. - Mgu patch, fsc custom match to vin, remove CP. - Reset ISN 7DTC, 8HP for F, G serie (include EGS7). - Write ISN MG1/MD1 with remotely. - Carplay/Android Auto MGU with/without ATM (6AE). Isn't there an option in ISTA to teach in the headlights after programming?

It happened to me with a x3 G series laser lights, it was necessary to reprogram the whole machine not just FLE

Thanks for all your inputs guys, just to update you, we installed 2 new headlights from BMW & they worked instantly.
It seems the coding was correct & it must of been 5 faulty headlights! |
