You need an NBT EVO  - HW4.1 is probably best & one with the blue GPS plug will make life easy.

Do you know anything about retrofitting this system or BMW coding? If not, many on here will be able to offer services to code the headunit to your car and activate.

Regarding screens, if you buy the headunit I mentioned above, then you want an APIX 2 screen - from a car made after 07/2016, youll also need the LVDS cable from the HU to the Screen as I don't believe the one on you current system is compatible.

Other issue you'll have is that your car does not have the correct wiring to be able to activate it, known as OABR or ETH wiring, so you may have to send the unit to someone to have this done or buy one from the many on ebay that are pre-coded to your car already.

Thank you for your response, yes I have done retrofits before on older BMW models and I do have electronics background.
Also. I do have BMW ISTA and Esys. The idea of me trying to retrofit this to a F series is to 'learn' more on these 'nav' units and coding with Esys.
I just need help in buying the right combination of parts required and trying to understand the various head units.
Ideally I would like to do a setup on the bench, which I am searching on various forums and I do understand that I will need more parts.
I am doing this as a hobby and interest in this coding side.

Business screen no, you need professional screen APIX2 or you can use APIX1 screen with voltage regulator but you need to downgrade EVO to I-level 18-03 to make it working properly.

Hey. APIX1 screen from NBT with voltage regulator will work with entrynav2? 
Do i need to downgrade i-level of entrynav2 as well?
