G20 - No navigation or Driving Assistant in HUD
Hi there,
i tried to code the shift lights because my car doesn´t had them enabled. They are displayed in the iDrive settings for the HUD but never appeared. I tried some settings around the M view and M menu but that caused some dead ends in the iDrive. I removed the coding and only left this two values active: Code: CB_SHIFTLIGHTS => aktiv After that i had a CEL with some DTC related to the communication between the DKOMBI4 and other ECUs. Now the HUD wont show the Driving Assistant or navigation information anymore. I can see the speed and ACC. DA should normally show two lines around the ACC info and a arrow when using the lane change assistant, these graphics are gone. And the HUD doesn´t display the navigation info anymore. Does someone had issues like this before? I already got two tips i would like to test out tomorrow. 1. Check the VO and code the DKOMBI4 using the VO the car came with. As i retrofitted some of the missing features like the iDrive touch controller and the touchless tailgate operation my current VO is modified. 2. Initialize the FlexRay. I tried to find more information around this and found some threads about problems after doing this. They had to open the FlexRay ports with Tool32... is this even possible for the G series? kind regards Michael |

RE: G20 - No navigation or Driving Assistant in HUD
Here are the DTC after rebooting or coding the DKOMBI4.
Code: VIN: WBA6N11 Someone already offered me to solve this remotely but i would like to learn how to solve it instead of someone else doing it. There´s no FlexRay error so that shouldn´t be the problem? Is it normal that so many DTC come up after coding or rebooting the DKOMBI4? I can´t remember that from the past. |

RE: G20 - No navigation or Driving Assistant in HUD
I tried to VO code the DKOMBI4 with the original VO but that didn´t help.
Same behavior, no navigation or DA displayed in the HUD. I used ISTA to read the DTC and folloed the test plan. Ethernet is ok and the errors can be ignored, because they´re caused by the reboot of the DKOMBI4. Most of the other errors can also be ignored and ISTA couldn´t find any problems in the BUS. The action plan suggests to flash the DME... This isn´t an option I´m currently trying another idea and disconnected the batteries. Let´s see if this may help. |

RE: G20 - No navigation or Driving Assistant in HUD
Another update without a solution.
I flashed the SWFL of HU_MGU and DKOMBI4 with the same version but the problem is still there. I don‘t get any navigation data displayed in the HUD and the assistant only shows ACC graphics. The DAP graphics don‘t get displayed when activating the driving assistant. What‘s strange, when i change the HUD setting in the iDrive to „driving assistant“ instead of automatic, the ACC isn‘t displayed anymore. Still no one with an idea how to fix this? |

RE: G20 - No navigation or Driving Assistant in HUD
Ok final update.
I found the issue and it´s something so trivial... It seems like i changed a setting in the M Menue when trying to get the M shift lights and that setting was still active while the Menue itself was disabled. The setting was also in my BMW profile and because of this the problem wasn´t resolved after flashing and coding the HU_MGU. I only found out because someone tried to help me and showed me a video of his HUD settings with enabled M View. I remembered that i had this active but disabled it again. So i enabled it, looked inside and the HUD view was still set to M View instead of standard. After switching back to standard all missing graphics showed up in the HUD. |
