Exactly. Is that hard to understand that if you enter increased values many times, the car will try to lower itself by that amount ADDITIONALY EACH TIME YOU ENTER THAT VALUE!!! It's CUMULATIVE!!!

BTW if you lowered it to the minimum setting (no air at all) and drove it in that way, you may have ruined the air bags...

I like to test and take risks and try to learn from my mistakes.

My way of thinking and probably my mistake was: I always changed the data without doing a test drive.

I should have changed the values, driven a lap and changed again, I didn't do that.

I just thought that if I enter 610mm, which is then also from the rim to the side part about 610mm away, was surprised that the at 610mm always went up instead of staying in the same place.

Apparently I have not understood the system, is not bad - you learn from it.

@larshutten: You say I should enter the real value, do a test drive and enter the real value again, is that right?

Then test drive again to be sure and then enter the desired MM and drive again? Or have I misunderstood the procedure?

Lets use what humans have - brain app capable of abstract thinking and thought experiment!!! In unspecified units smile

Lets say your current distance is x and that x is a correct height for that car. What you think will happen if you enter x when ISTA asks??? Logical answer is - NOTHING! ISTA will see that car is at a correct height so no further correction is necessary!

So now lets assume current distance is x but correct height is x + 10. What should happen if you enter x as it is? Logical answer - ISTA will see it's too low so will try to correct and increase height to x + 10. What would happen if you enter x second time, even height is already correct at x + 10? OF COURSE ISTA will calculate new correction and actual height will become x + 20. So the more times you enter a number which is different from default, the bigger (cumulative) correction will be applied.

Of course ISTA translates mm to a sensor voltage measurement so it assumes you are around correct height where it is linear. If you will run out of linear part of the height sensor, things become messy!!!

So larshutten told you correctly!!! First you need to reset to PROPER height, drive a bit so it stabilizes, recheck (it should be back to normal) (potentially redo until you are ACTUALLY as correct height). Then enter modified value. But JUST ONCE. If you want to change more, you need to know what is you current delta and enter new values based on ADDITIONAL delta you want from normal, NOT from current value!
