What does Hexprog support say?

This issue happens because the recovered data of eee from the flash part of frm is not good or frm partition also corrupted. If software has issue it must give error with all frm 3. So for now you have to eraze the partition somehow and write good file. Then only frm will communicate on car."

Hexprog cannot do this so another programmer must be used.

so Hexprog's problem will never be solved. There is no further development, the tool is dead.

I just had the same issue in an E90 FRM3 LED BASIS and software asked me to select a dump with similar number to write it .. i wrote it, installed in car, worked out fine, then i flashed it and everything was working .. hexprog remains the fastest frm repair tool

VVDI does not pose a problem (at least I never had one) and there is a copy of dflasch in your archive. I think you will save one or two minutes when hexprog works well. Otherwise, you will only prolong the entire process.

Not quite the same, after choosing eeprom to write to the frm hexprog gives me 100% and success message but when I read eeprom it gives partition error again. What’s interesting is the last time this happened it was e90 frm led basis like you had, wonder if that’s a coincidence or not

Update:

Issue happened once again few days ago. Same exact scenario explained in my original post. Connect frm, repair frm, successful message and vin of car shows. Read ecu, partition error again. Repair, repair successful message, this time with YYYYY vin. Click read ecu, partition error 94e, manually write eee dump (tried multiple good dumps), write 100% and shows success message. Read ecu, partition error again.

I contact hexprog support once again, explained and they said they’ll need to look into this themselves with their own repairs. I firmly believe this is a tool issue. What’s interesting to note is the last 2 frm’s that had this issue happened right AFTER my hexprog device was updated. I updated hexprog and later that same day issue with frm repair.

use xprog for partitioning, if i have a from3 im done with in 5 minutes, incl a backup of the whole frm
