Hello guys,

I bought a BMW instrument cluster and FEM from F20, 2012 diesel ,manual, just for testing purposes on bench with platform.
The problem is : FEM has ELV locked and i have no ignition.
I am able to connect with Esys ,Ista, impa,tool32 but didn't found any solution to reset elv or something similar.
I was able to make coding on fem, kombi and program a new ignition key.
That means the eeprom is not corrupted.
I've read something about modifying the eeprom to eliminate ELV or something similar.

Appreciated if anyone can help.

Add ELV to your bench, make Virgin and it will ignition. Or change FEM from a Auuomatic gear that does not have ELV

It's not as simple as it seems. I also built an F20 bench. I came across the same problem - ELV. Of course, I added ELV to my bench. I tried different Virgin files for ELV a dozen times. Unfortunately, without a positive effect. I have contacted various colleagues from this forum regarding this matter. One of them told me that when Virgin ELV is installed in a complete car, there is never a problem, but the bench remains problematic. It seems that something else is missing for ELV to work. I even expanded my bench with a DME and DSC module, but that didn't help either. of course I found a way to get KL15. Just use INPA to turn on Montage Mode for FEM. Then you can control the terminals KL15 and KL30 on the bench. Of course, the car would not start in montage mode, but on the bench it works without any problems. I even flashed in this mode using Esys.
I would also like to know a way to get ELV to work on the bench.

you need virginize elv eeprom. i have had this problem ans virginize was the solution. Tell me your email and i send you the file because i don´t know if it is possible upload here, for 95040 eeprom, you need make a backup from your and after rewrite with the file i send you and it will be fixed

I have never seen an ELV emulator for the F series on the market, only for the E series

As I wrote, I have already tried various virgin ELV files and two ELV modules. Of course, I can provide the file from the first reading to try your solution. The file is in the attachment.

I am trying to find in impa FEM Montage Mode....but i cannot find it !

The only problem i had, was a faulty enet cable, but now it works.
