Cic update on E series
Hello
I started with updating the CI63F1 of the cic in a E91 using the ICOM next without the Next B (optic adapter). As you all may know it will take many hours. I ordered the adapter now I still have the laptop on and the update is ongoing. My question is: is it ok to terminate the update and started again when I will receive the adapter? Thanks in advance |

RE: Cic update on E series
The correct sequence to flash it is 63 , 62, and A0
The 63 and A0 must be done using MOST_Auto_Async ediabas protocol and of course icom B The 62 (gateway) must be flashed by CAN, using base ediabas protocol. Don't try to flash 62 with most, it will fail . hope its helps If this post helped you don't forget to press rep and thanks

My situation now is that i started 63 with icom A(no most) and of course it taking almost 2 days. I am waiting for my B adapter. It is 49% now almost 24 hours left. Is it possible to terminate the update? Or the unit will break? |

RE: Cic update on E series
I made a mistake programming the CIC,
I used ICOM A1 with a bridge adapter, WINKFPT, I just forgot to change the interface in EDIABAS to port 6802 63 - went for CAN 62- went for CAN A0- I also started programming using CAN for 50 minutes, only 2% progress, I stopped, changed to port 6802 and reprogrammed again, I didn't even have to use expert mode, when you program again and it stops at the same moment of programming, check the disk, if it is missing or damaged, it always stops programming at the same moment, If my post helped you hit the thanks and reputation button!

RE: Cic update on E series
you can flash 63, 62 and A0 with MOST. Did many units like this with ICOM NEXT with ICOM NEXT B adapter. Dr GINI settings REMOTE/MOST
Coding E + F Modelles in near from Graz, Austria
Navigation map updates I-Step update CIC, NBT, NBT EVO Retrofit and remote coding |
