does anybody know the differences between c4 and c5 Multiplexer ?
Has the c5 a hard disk installed, is this the better choice ?

C4 comes sometime with and sometimes without UDS Chip.
The C5 which costs about 400-700 EUR is a C4 inside with C5 Body.
The C5 from 1100 EUR up is a DoIP Multiplexer with internal HDD or SSD. All the programms are stored in the Multiplexer, You only need a Laptop with 30 GB Disk Space for the Programms.

The C5 DoiP is the newest but the expensive one.
There are C5 Bodys with C4 PCB inside. They are the same as the C4 with UDS Chip.

This chinese "C5" with original name XentryConnect is mixed chinese "C4" SDConnect with XentryConnect parts. On pcb missing can chokes. You can work on UDS vehicles also with PartD. XentryConnect need Xentry Kit 2 software as I know. Obd2 cable don´t looks like XentryConnect Doip Obd2 cable.

I've brought a China C4 with Dell laptop.
As you can see the laptop is old model and used, it is very slow ~
The C4 is new but it is cheap clone…

So end up I use my old laptop, i7 8GB ram and SSD to rebuild the whole system.
Installed Xentry 05.2018, EWA 2018, Vediamo 5.01, DTS Monaco
All patched and working.
It run much faster !

Some China seller install Xentry with Chinese loader,
So that if you move the HDD to another computer or clone it to SSD,
Xentry will ask you to contact seller to register ~

Installation is not that difficult, just need some computer knowledge,
And you can find all the source in this forum.

Software is not the most important,
Knowledge and flash files and the "keys" are the most important!
I'm still learning, see what I can do.

I have the Chinese version that's a c5 body and from the the few break downs I have seen of the more expensive c5 head my boards look the same it's just missing the board for the hard drive, also the buttons are not really buttons. Has anyone tried to upgrade or add the board and hard drive that is missing. I have been looking and I have had no luck with finding anyone that sells the internal parts individually. I'm just a huge tech geek and it seems possible so I want to try.
