Entrynav is connected the same way, for sure. all experience i have, is that nbt emulator works for both older champ2 made by alpine and more modern etrynav.. i intalled a lot of them as its cheap to get, and navi is working. of course fdl coding needs adjustment for different chasssis

Thanks, but I don’t have Entrynav, but the newer Entrynav2 2017-2018! Isn’t this one different?
I think it has to be as my NBT Evo is working with this emulator, but not my Entrynav2.

afair theres only one entrynav (2015+) but if im wrong correct me.

In my former 2015 car I had Entrynav, I know it. Equipped with GPS this uses Route maps and is connected via USB to TCB.

Then there is definitely a new version called Entrynav2, approx. since 2017, which I‘m talking about. If with GPS it uses Way maps and is connected via Ethernet to ATM.

Conclusion for me is then that Entrynav2 really needs either different emulator ... or is it possible that emulator has to be connected in different way? The this the same with NBT Evo ID5/6?

Can you please show or explain me which emulator is needed!? Thanks in advance.

I tested and played a lot with this Entrynav2, it´s possible to delete the FSCs with TOOL32 and install an other package for retrofitting one with MOST for a 6WA cluster. But on bench always the FSCs become rejected, but in the car with the right ATM 8same VIN) they switch to active. There has to be something in it´s software or a coding value that has to be switched, that it can be used without an ATM.

I was already thinking about ATM as the problem. When I have installed for at least half an hour navigation was working. It had GPS reception via ATM as well as weather and news. Then when I started the car again in the evening navigation was greyed out. I think there has been some update via ATM... After that even leaving ATM disconnected didn’t help.

The HU has FDL coding options regarding telematics: ATM, TCB or no telematics if I remember well.
I will try this...

Maybe also ATM has the be coded somehow?

Not sure what you really expect? But online services will not work when vin number of HU is different than ATM.. maybe first for lucky shot as you experienced, after that it does vin check and will block. Entrynav2 also does online vin check.

Read out current FSC status, probably all are rejected and if you have real bad luck component protection kicked in. So my suggestion is read FSC status and fault codes. Post it here.

You can send vin number in any state you want even in plain text just need to know right address. And no I will not post all information on forum so BMW can read with us. Something to do with the massive cheap fsc sales and bmw blocking BIN files in latest software

I have just mentioned what happened. I didn’t care at the beginning as I was used formerly to be safe with CAN filter.

Finally I don’t care about online services. I don’t need weather or news on my car display

Esys shows all the navigation related FSCs rejected. Fault memory is luckily not showing any HU related faults. Irritating is only that there is no SWT status available when I trigger the HU ECU via Ista.

What would be your suggestion how to proceed?
