That would make sense. I’m assuming because the ICM will send braking signals to the DSC. I had already retrofitted ACC to my F10 before I fitted the KAFAS2 so already had the correct part. 

If I’m not mistaken the collision/pedestrian detection will automatically brake the car if required I’ve attached the parts list for the ICM high. Part 9. Looks like more work for the OP.

Yes the ICM sends signals to DSC, because 5AS was not available pre 2014 the ICMs before that date do not have the correct functionality.

Hi, could you share the various FDL codes?  I too am in the same situation as the first post.

I cannot share the codings publicly, myself and 2 other guys spent around 3 months figuring it out and one of the others who came up with the final coding solution requested that we do not make them public. We did it on F10, F11 and F13 but the codings are very similar to F30 etc.
However if you let me have your CAFDs for ICM, DSC, HU, Kombi, Kafas and FEM I will gladly check/edit them for you

Just looking at the ETK, the ICM is listed for 5DF ACC, which was available for the pre and LCI. I think the OP would just need to ensure he gets an ICM high for his car which is denoted with V5.6 on the ICM ECU itself. The basic low version is V1.3

I have posted links to the correct part numbers and what you need to check. It’s not my retrofit so I don’t care which part you fit, but if you want it to work, research and check the part numbers from the ETK list I posted and cross reference them to the part numbers of parts you have found. Put simply, buy a part listed in the ETK that is for 5DF for your vehicle.

3 months?!? I installed the new ICM, DSC, ACC sensor, PMA, SZL, KAFAS2 VO coded the ECU’s and it all works first time with no errors. The only change to ICM I made was for auto PDC and that wasn’t difficult. What did you spend 3 months doing?!? I have an F10 and these retrofits were simple, albeit time consuming. The only issue I had was with ICM to ACSM wiring for which there is a thread here. The solution was given in the first few posts which would’ve worked if I’d followed it properly.

Make sure the parts number matches exactly as per the ETK, there are lots of options available and you need to make sure it’s correct.

It's a very expensive part. I will really just be with the 5AD.

Check sellers on Allegro, you will find it cheaper. Retrofitting parts is expensive.
