e60 CIC FSC Upgrade to new vin
I have an e60 CIC with an aftermarket FSC set installed, however I want to put the unit in another car, is there a way to upgrade the FSC set without flashing the unit as the failure rate of these units with WinKFP is too high for me to risk.

RE: e60 CIC FSC Upgrade to new vin
Everything is possible, depend of the skills. You'd need to virginize unit via FTP and then apply new FSC set. Not worth to go that way.
There is no high failure risk if you use genuine ICOM A + B. Only BMW services:
Remote coding/programming - E, F, G serie HDD change, Carplay, Screen mirroring activation FSC pack - CIC, NBT, NBT EVO, ENTRYNAV2, MGU, KAFAS Remote reset 8HP ISN F serie ELV disable for CAS3, 3+ |

RE: e60 CIC FSC Upgrade to new vin
I have a genuine ICOM A & B but have no faith in WinKFP, I've had "Security Access Denied" errors in the past

If WinKFP settings will be ok and you will connect good power supply, then I think you should not be afraid of flashing Only BMW services:
