In ISTA the modules with fault are EPS, ICM and PDC. PMA is green. I am assuming the ICM is receiving a signal it doesn't understand because it is a version not for 5DP. I'm sure without checking my ICM it will have v3.4 where having checked ebay for ICM listed in the ETK for 5DP they are v5.4.

Also, I attempted to update my ICM ecu with ESYS last night and it failed. This was with the FA with 5DP in. I'm guessing it failed because the 5DP ICM is different. I had to flash again with original FA to recover the ICM.

Quick way to check if all ecu’s are compatible is just let esys calculate tal and check what hardware needs to be changed out.

I did an ESYS tal and it wanted to flash the ICM, ASD and AMPT. I attempted flashing the ICM which is where I ran into trouble and had to reflash ICM with my original FA. Since fitting the new PDC and JBE my PDC centre console button no longer works. I can use ISTA to trigger the indication light on PDC and that works. I am putting this all down to the ICM ECU not being compatible with park assist. We'll find out soon as I've just bought one on ebay that is v5.4 and from the list for 5DP (34 52 6 866 992)

So after a day of playing around and solving the ICM restraint issue I thought I'd managed to complete my Gen 2 park assist......I was wrong.

So after clearing all faults, reconnecting the Gen 2 PMA and VO coding all relevant ECU's I set out to try it out. I found a spot, the Park Assist identified it, it told me to press and hold the PDC button......then BING Park Assist failure, please park the vehicle yourself!

I had a sneaky feeling this might happen and I'm 90% sure its because I don't have the ACC DSC. Its listed in the BMW ETK and its the ONLY part left showing in the ETK for 5DP that I don't have. 

Can anyone confirm or deny this? If I run ISTA after the fault it shows the faults below. If I initiate the ICM again and clear the faults I am all green again until I attempt to use park assist again, then the same faults return. I can clear the "incorrect part number" DSC fauly by FDL coding out the ACC vehicle, but I guess that defeats the object as I'm assuming the ACC function ties in with the park assist so far as the braking and acceleration.

Not correct info. 5DP on F10 need ACC DSC for sure.

On nonLCI up to 0613 you have to accelerate yourself, on LCI from 0713 the car does it yourself.
Brakes always stop the process. Logically safety relevant.
