RE: BMW F20 Head unit and Screen replacement

I've retrofitted entrynav headunit before, but I was eager to install the headunit so what I did was install it without an emulator and it worked fine after coding apart from navigation being greyed out. Later on I installed an emulator and navigation came back.
If the headunit still has the original FSC codes you can do the following:
Install the VIN emulator to the car
Open E-sys and connect to the car
Read FA from your car
Make duplicate of your FA and save it "HU FA"
Press the edit button to edit the "HU FA"
Then you should see a file list
Go to FA > FZAuftrag > Header
There you should see your VIN number
Replace your VIN number with the VIN number of the donor car that the HU came from, if you do not know it I think you can find it in the FSC code from donor unit
Save the FA
Read ECU
Select CHAMP2 in the ECU list
MAKE SURE TO GO TO ESYS SETTINGS AND DISABLE UPDATE MSM/UPDATE VCM
Then code the CHAMP2 ECU only.
To summarize whenever coding CHAMP2 you will only use the HU FA that has the donor vin, for anything else you use your original FA.
If the FSC is still on the headunit it should then reactivate navigation. I noticed its not instant so it might take a few hours for it to come back.
This is one way of doing it, although replacement FSC codes is probably the better option

Needs some help on this issue, I have 2013 F20 (WBA2H320407G61909). The car had Missing Head Unit and the Screen, so I have purchased used Head Unit (Champ2) and a Screen according to my car spec. (It has business Nav)
When all connected up, all I get is 'NO SIGNAL' in red displaying on the screen.
So I thought it may need coding, but when using E-SYS and try to code it the option to 'code' is not selectable.
If I select some other ecu, then i can select the option to code.
Would I need to reflash the Head unit and correct the 'vin'?
Any help with this would be grateful.
Also the vin number you included is for a F22 2020 Prod date
Sorry for late reply, thank you for your suggestion. I shall check the Vin no. again and try your instructions.
The car is still having bodywork done to it.

The correct Vin Number is WBA1C72000VU71096
Thanks again for pointing this out.
