Why it wouldn't work?

Because ista d checks for virtual processor and will not work unless you modify the ista d assembly files to skip the processor check.

I'm sorry to ask but can someone toll me how to modify the assembly File to skip the processor Check?that's a Lot!!!!

Im using virtualbox and aß guest OS. Win7 pro. Istad Crashs without message online eventlog contains an exception. Someone got it in vbox running? ?
Please help...

It's complicated plus assembly files are signed and you will have to figure out how to skip the signature checks after that. Just use a cheap laptop for ista d since requirements are very basic

I read that i can try to add some settings to the vmx File to hide the vm env to the guest OS. I will try it later and hopefully it will work... To buy a New Laptop is not an Option AT the Moment....i need it to run Inside the vm.
Btw i got noch error message it just dont start. In the eventlog i can find an application error. I only guess that it's the virtual processor issue. Should there maybe Pop up an error message indicating that it does not run in vm?

You can spend all your time patching, testing etx etc and always wondering if you are in the right track or follow some simple hints mentioned earlier in this thread. If your processor is an older one you can spend all your time. If your processor is newer it works.OR you can install a stand alone version. Period.

Install one of beemerboy88 ones e.g. http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=9114
no problems whatsoever. Make sure unblock archive before unpack.
