You need JLINK programmer to upgrade FW on carprog

There are a few more mods to be done apart from changing 74hc check a few pages back and there is a repair patch mod you can do which may help with eeprom reading

Start with changing 4 x 74hc125D to M
And check Eeprom Clip from carprog. chinese ones are big crap.

I read 24cXX 95XXX without problems with reworked device (modified like on pictures some pages back) and real pomona clip

Hello, i have a clone carprog using solfware 7.28. Since i received it, it is impossible to read eeproms 95160 and 24cxx. I so used the software with airbag, but the ID of the Eproom is not recognised. The eprooms were desolder from the pcb and i used the A4 and A5 adapters provided with carprog. I have verified that the wires were correct with a multimeter (continuity test). I don't know if the changes of the 4 IC will help to read eprooms. I very dissapointed

I don't test if antenna and CAN bus are working? How do i make it?

First and most important of all is to change 74HC125D to 74HCT125M on your carparog, i have good clone (good pcb) but still did not read some I2C,95 ,MCU. I bought 74HCT125M at farnell change all 4 of them and it is ok now. reading without problems.

Adapter A4 = adapter A6 by colors, but if do not upgrade your firmware of carprog with new one, you will never read 24xxx memory. Firmware till version 4.74 can not read 24xxx - china clone "bug" (bad firmware).
