Unit is ECE EVO HW 4.1. I used F30 FA and G30 FA with same results

Is not FA issue, it happened to me many times, always sorted at the end, according to swfl_271a always check if dvd mechanism is unlocked.

thanks guys, how do you unlock the DVD drive, I don't see options in tool32?
DVD drive is locked indeed, cant insert CD

you have to fix hardware (DVD) connection to main plate

also you can set HWCoding.DVD=00 and try flash again

also possible it is problem hdd or gps resiver have to know exactly which errors was before update

Ok I was not aware the owner messed with DVD and he admitted he did, so I asked him to put it back but dont work at all. Cant insert DVD, nothing. It seems to be fully flushed but it looks like he may have damaged it. all was working fine before, no idea why he decided to flash his EVO and took it apart.

Where can I specify HWCoding.DVD=00  so esys can flash without worrying about the DVD drive please? I hope that would help, so he has a radio at least.

I think It can be done by syset> shell, for sure you need enable SSH and login to it first.

I have the exact same issue on a HW 4.1 NBT EVO HU with Mini Clubman HWEL and it is failing on the exact same part.

Is anyone else here having the same issue with HW 4.1 NBT EVOs?
