RE: F10 ACC DSC Replacement Brake Warning
I have already fitted from factory kafas hba etc and i am targeting by this upgrade the traffic jam assist.
If i would be in your place, yes, i would first try to reset rear brake pads from kombi and if everything is ok, proceed with the front ones. Even if the CBS will not reflect the reality of wearing, when the brake pad sensor will start to touch disk brake, the DSC will give insrantly warning on kombi even cbs has much more km until brake pad replacement is required. Just assure twice that you have brake pad sensors well secured on brake pads front/rear |

RE: F10 ACC DSC Replacement Brake Warning
I tried to reset the CBS from KOMBI last night but it failed and also failed on first attempt with ISTA. The step I was missing is to remove the parking brake, only then was the reset possible.
So do you need a new DSC for TJA? Is it not already fitted with the ACC pump as you have KAFAS? I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

RE: F10 ACC DSC Replacement Brake Warning
It must work to reset cbs via one way or another as it is independent from dsc module..
As i know i need dsc pump like yours for tja. I have the basic one without stop and go function. Kafas 2 is not enough to work unfortunately |

RE: F10 ACC DSC Replacement Brake Warning
Apologies if this is not the right place to ask, but as you have been playing with acc and dsc you might know.
So I am planning to retrofit Acc. I already retrofitted kafas2. Does anybody know why exactly new dsc is needed for acc? I have 2015 f10 with b47 engine which slows down using breaks when decreasing speed on “plain” cruise control. So technically the car is capable of breaking itself. Therefor what new dsc does which mine cannot? There is no additional wiring needed. All goes via flexray. Any idea? |

RE: F10 ACC DSC Replacement Brake Warning
So the difference is the ABS/DSC pump that is the ACC version has the ability to brake itself. Cruise control with braking function uses a different method/signal for braking. The fundamental difference is the working parts within the DSC. There are extra pots/valves that work the automated braking function. I originally fitted the PMA sensors for park assist. With the original DSC I would still need to apply the gas and brake myself because the DSC wasn’t capable of fulfilling this function. After fitting the DSC ACC pump the vehicle was capable of autonomous parking whilst just holding the PDC button. I have a guide within the forum that details all you need, parts and a guide to fitting and getting it all working. Just add the extra bits/steps yourself for ACC (I have also retrofitted this myself)
