The cas came from an E90, installed it in an X1 same engine (DME/CAS exchange). I thought all 0L15Y cas 3+ have the same program file? FA was already copied from FRM. Also have a strange error. DSC reports it is the wrong one for the car (active steering) Its a DXC89, this error was not there before the swap. Interesting This may be spot on BUT.... even hardware may be different in a way!! Copied EEprom from the replacement to original CAS. Car does not even come on!! Key locks in though. So got DME ISN written to original CAS and everything back to normal. Very interesting. Original CAS is version 9237047, the E90 CAS was version 914722x. Looks like we cant just mix these things that easily!!! |

Interesting Hardware musn't match? I think hardware and EWS are two things that must be the same to get donor to work. If it's about ZB, it's better if donor has newer version, but it's not a requirement. Only BMW services:
Remote coding/programming - E, F, G serie HDD change, Carplay, Screen mirroring activation FSC pack - CIC, NBT, NBT EVO, ENTRYNAV2, MGU, KAFAS Remote reset 8HP ISN F serie ELV disable for CAS3, 3+ |
