First you need to check Pin 7 WS/BL or WS/SW of N5*1B to Pin 29 of A173*3B FEM for continuity, open or short circuit to B+ or B-. Then do this.

RE: BMW F20 Fuses question
Well,
by comparing schematics between F20 and F15 you can clearly see what that fuse does in F15: it passes voltage from a relay of terminal 30B to fuses F155 and F156 which feed soft-close of driver and passenger doors. The connector N5 of fuse box is NOT used in F15. If you look for component Z2 in schematics for F15 there is an unnamed fuse a bit left from F155 and F156 which actually is F167 and is exactly the fuse in question. There is NO increased voltage going to Z2 at all. In F20 however the fuse box is fed via connector N5 from DC/DC converter and then fuse F155 is used to power head unit with increased voltage. The schematics for module Z2 is a bit different from F15 and there is no fuse corresponding to F167 in there. So I believe that inserted fuse actually short-circuits DC/DC converter output to terminal 30B. I don't know who inserted it there, but it clearly should not be there in F20. The module itself is probably prewired for usage in both F15 and F20, but its connected differently externally. P.S. You can easily check that the same fuse box 61 14 9259466 is used in F15, F20 and many other car models. |

RE: BMW F20 Fuses question
Yes, there is a clear harm from that fuse, not just simple no need for it.
